4th Grade Teacher Receives Recognition
from the Ohio Lottery
Campbell, OHLinda Vratkovich is a 4th grade teacher at Campbell Elementary School. She was nominated by Dr. Robert Walls, principal of Campbell Elementary School for the Ohio Lottery’s Teacher of the Month Award. Vratkovich is the recipient of the Teacher of the Month Award ( for the month of June) given by the Ohio Lottery. She represents the Youngstown area.
Vratkovich serves on the school’s After School Intervention team and is a teacher leader for Science at the 4th grade level. “She is extremely systematic in her approach to conquering intellectual and personal challenges, immensely adept at research and planning to overcome any and all obstacles that relate to assuring her students have high expectations both personally and educationally,” says Walls.
Vratkovich is a Martha Holden Jennings grant recipient and has been recognized as a Top 10 Elementary Science Educator in North East Ohio just last year. “She is a professional staff member with compassion, enthusiasm, intellectual intensity and positive character who is a constructive beacon of hope and inspiration for those who come into contact with her,” writes Walls. She is described by Walls as a “tremendous team player” who demonstrates outstanding teamwork skills.
For being recognized as Teacher of the Month, Vratkovich will receive four tickets to a Mahoning Valley Scrappers game. In addition she will receive recognition at the event, team merchandise and an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery.
The Ohio Lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year.
